Programs and Short Courses

Programs are designed as short-course learning and orientation modules. They do not issue academic degrees and are intended for students, volunteers, and community educators.

Field Methods Orientation

Field orientation focuses on non-invasive methods: camera trap basics, GPS note-taking, photo review, safety planning, and clear reporting. The center does not encourage handling, baiting, or disturbing wild animals.

  • Preparation: route planning, weather checks, and field safety.
  • Observation: respectful distance, quiet movement, and habitat awareness.
  • Records: data sheets, date/time notes, location sensitivity, and image review.
  • Reporting: community-friendly summaries and careful use of public data.
