Animal Observation Ethics

Field education is based on non-invasive observation. The priority is to reduce disturbance, avoid risky behavior, and respect local communities and habitats.

Principles

• Do not handle, feed, bait, chase, or disturb wild animals.
• Keep safe distance from dens, resting places, and sensitive habitat.
• Do not publish exact sensitive locations in public materials.
• Follow local rules, land access requirements, and safety guidance.
• Use domestic cat examples responsibly and avoid medical claims beyond public education.

Learning Materials

Materials are reviewed for responsible language and for consistency with non-invasive observation practices. Students are directed to public conservation and species resources for further study.
